Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog
ORIGNS:
Known for their self-assured will, outgoing nature, and lovable disposition, Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs are perfect companions for any individual with a strong, capable, adventurous spirit. The Alapaha Bulldog was originally bred to catch and drive cattle in the Southern American states. Because of this, they only bond with close family members and are not recommended for multi-dog homes.
PHYSICAL:
The Alapaha is considered a large dog breed weighing in at 60-95 lbs. They have the boxy stature of the American Bulldog along with short hair and muscles meant for hard work.
PERSONALITY:
This Bulldog’s strong personality and drive make them ideal for experienced owners who can command a strong leadership with their canine companion. For those that are up to the task, the best way to forge a loving bond with this astute creature is to raise them from puppy-hood and familiarize them with you as thoroughly as possible. This dog will be reliant on you to be their eyes and ears. Adapt them to everything you possibly can at an early age so that they will not view it is a threat later on in life.
EXERCISE:
It is recommended to exercise this dog frequently for they still have the same drive and energy as their cattle-wrangling ancestors . While exercising them, be aware of their strong territorial nature that may show itself in new areas and with strangers.
INSIDE DOG:
This dog is happiest when they are by your side as an inside companion. They love spending time with and protecting those they hold close and love nothing more than a good belly rub.
